In the morning, discover the most traditional products of the Herrera Province: Observe how salt is extracted from the Pacific Ocean; learn why the village of La Arena is famous for its pottery; visit a traditional sugar cane mill and try the refreshing sugar cane juice called “Guarapo”; and try the unique taste of the local bread “Pan de La Arena” baked in clay ovens.
After a delicious traditional Panamanian lunch, you will experience the handcrafting of the Pollera, one of the most beautiful traditional costumes in the world. You will also visit two local artisans dedicated to Panama’s Folklore: One producing the famous devil’s masks, the other for traditional wooden drums.
