Learn about the complete process of cacao from the planting of the sacred cacao tree to harvesting and processing it to what we know as chocolate.

This tour will take participants to an indigenous community with a population of approximately 500 people, that borders part of Comarca Ngöbe-Buglé. During the visit to this community, you will have the opportunity to share with them and learn about their history. You will definitely live an unforgettable experience in a natural and ecological environment, valuing the natural attractions and culture and their traditional knowledge. Cacoa is one of the most important activities for the economy of the community. On this tour, you will learn the complete process of making chocolate; from planting a seed, it’s agronomic management, through make your own chocolate bar in traditional style. In the evening you will enjoy a  traditional Ngöbe dance presentation, where men and women of the community, exhibit different types of dances, dressed in their traditional costumes. They will explain the history of their dances and the meaning of the symbols and colors of their clothes. You will enjoy the nights in ecological cabins, with typical Ngöbe design and traditional material, located at the highest part of the community, overlooking beautiful magic mountains in a natural and ecological setting, perfect to relax and rest, surrounded by the nature sounds.
