Located in the western region of the Republic of Panama, Boquete has an area of 350 square miles and an altitude between 800 and 3,000 meters above the sea level. Due to the volcanic origin of the area, the land is extremely lush and green, which, together with the resident’s tradition of planting flowers, results in marvelous scenery. Bird watching and wildlife are superior in Boquete, featuring the elusive quetzal which was considered sacred by the Mayas. Our guide will either take you to one of the trails around the slopes of the Baru Volcano or to a private reserve for a superb birdwatching adventure.
