Mount Totumas Cloud Forest is a 400-acre private cloud forest reserve bordering the La Amistad National Park, located 20km west of Volcan and about 33km from Boquete.

The reserve is in a remote wilderness location with cabins and a lodge that offer all the basic amenities thanks to a sustainable off the grid micro-hydropower plant that taps the power of a nearby stream.

There are different accommodation options depending on guest preferences and budget. All accommodations have electricity, hot water, linens and towels, WiFi, open decks and common area. The Bellbird Lodge is open to all guests.

Guests can enjoy 8 marked trails through the reserve with access into the adjacent national park, which is Central America’s largest protected mountain wilderness area. Hot springs are also located nearby. In the Mount Totumas Cloud Forest Reserve there are keystone species presented such as Resplendent Quetzal, Three Wattled Bellbirds, Mantled Howler Monkey, Black and Crested Guan, White-Faced Capuchin, spider monkeys, mountain lions amongst many others.
