The Gulf of Chiriquí is a part of Panama that encompasses Coiba National Park and Golfo de Chiriquí National Park. There are dozens of islands that are home to unique coral reefs, mangroves, and amazing biodiverse marine life such as manta rays, dolphins, sea turtles,and in-season humpback whales.

WHAT TO WEAR

Comfortable athletic shoes, light leisure clothing, bathing suit, hat and sunglasses. Sunscreen and insect repellent is highly recommended to bring along.  Dry bags are useful for storing personal items to take during the activity.

Paddle out into the Gulf of Chiriqui at high tide to discover the mangrove-lined Northeast coast from open water. Your naturalist guide will give you a safety briefing and an introductory paddle lesson and then you will be able to explore the wonders of the world around you. Explore this mysterious and enigmatic ecosystem where the rainforest meets the ocean, and learn all about its importance for marine life. Witness first-hand the flora and fauna of the region, as you may be able to see different bird species and stunning mountain views.

Note: This is a challenging excursion that requires a degree of fitness.
