Enjoy a unique adventure at the Metropolitan Natural Park; go up the first crane installed in the midst of a tropical forest for canopy research. During your experience you will observe the diversity of the fauna and flora in the area and also get the best view of Panama City. You will be met by our naturalist guide at 6:00am in the lobby of your hotel and you will receive a briefing and instruction before a 15 – 20 minutes ride from your hotel to the Metropolitan Natural Park. Once you arrive our guide will explain you the operation of this crane that has been in the Metropolitan Natural Park since 1990 and is playing an important role in scientific research. There are 12 cranes in the world and only two offer services for visitors (Panama & Australia). This crane is about 35 meters high and operates within a radius of 40 meters. More than 60 species of trees and vines can be seen at the perimeter of the crane, as well as a great variety of fauna may be seen during your visit such as: Squirrel Monkey, Two-toed & Three-toed sloths, Green Iguanas, Keel-billed Toucan, Oranged-chinned Parakeet amongst others. The tour on the crane takes 30 minutes. Your experience will be followed by a hiking tour in the Metropolitan Natural Park.
