Today we will take a sweet journey to a local cacao cultivation and chocolate production farm-managed and run by the indigenous Ngabe community located in Bocas del Toro. A local cacao farmer will guide you through the mountainous cacao farm while describing the entire process from the growing, protecting and harvesting of the cacao. At the highest point of your hike, you will find a rancho where a local Ngabe women in her traditional dress will teach you how to make chocolate the way they have been doing it for centuries. Make sure to stop and buy some organic chocolate to support the local indigenous community. Afterwards you will be transferred back to your hotel.
