In the morning, you will drive west along the famous Pan-American Highway into Panama’s “interior” as the locals call it. Enjoy the views of Panama’s landscape and stop along the way to taste local Panamanian food. After an approximate 2h drive, you will reach the picturesque town of El Valle de Anton, at 600 meters/1,968 feet above sea level, nestled at a dormant volcanic crater. El Valle is known for its milder temperature, beautiful landscapes surrounded by hills, creeks, hot springs, trails, birds, and natural beauty.
We will visit the picturesque town market where handicrafts will be on sale, and the Macho Waterfall, an ecological reserve, and hike along the interpretative trail.
El Valle also hosts more attractions to choose from such as: Indigenous pre-Columbian petroglyphs, hot springs, butterfly gardens and an orchid house (you must choose one). For an additional cost, you may opt for ziplining.
Return to Panama City in the late afternoon.
