Once a popular tourist destination for the rich and famous, the Pearl Islands have become more accessible for those who wish to visit beautiful beaches close to the city. This archipelago consists of over 200 islands and islets, mostly uninhabited, on the Pacific Coast in the Gulf of Panama.

In the morning we’ll head to the Flamenco Marina where we’ll board a ferry to the most popular of the Pearl Islands, Contadora. After 2 hours, we’ll then board one of the local boats there and start navigating around the archipelago looking for whales.

Between June and October, whales come to our tropical waters to mate, give birth, and show their calves how to do breach. During the day, the local boats will take us to one or two islands in the area for beach time and relaxation. We will also have the opportunity for having lunch at Contadora if you wish, or just have some of the snacks. At 2:30pm we’ll board the ferry to start our journey back to mainland.
