The day trip starts with a spectacular view of the Panama Canal in the morning sun upon your departure from the Amador Causeway by boat. Pass by large container ships coming from all over the world and admire the views of Panama’s extensive skyline as the Bay of Panama gets smaller and smaller. Your boat ride is going to take you 1.5 hours out to the Pacific Ocean to the picturesque Pearl Island Archipelago. The shallow warm waters around the archipelago are a very favorable place for humpback whales to stop over on their migration to warmer waters, which makes the possibility of spotting them between July and October extremely high.
Along your way to the islands, you will start looking out for them while your expert guide explains to you about the fascinating lives and habits of the mystic creatures. Gain in-depth knowledge about their incredible intelligence while your boat is respectfully and responsibly looking for these great mammals. You will share a unique experience with people on the boat from all over the world when watching out for these majestic creatures together.
Every thought of something else immediately disappears when you see their giant bodies moving gently through the water. Witness their spectacular sense for communication, when listening to their beautiful sounds.
Enjoy a delicious lunch buffet on Contadora Island and enjoy the afternoon relaxing white sand beach or search for tropical fish and turtles when snorkeling amongst the coral reefs. Head back to Panama City at sunset after an unforgettable day and stop for further whale watching on the way back.
