During the half-day morning tour, you will visit the ruins of Old Panama, climb up the Cathedral tower, visit the Old Panama Museum and then continue to Casco Viejo (the old city compound), which dates back to the late 1600’s. Our bilingual Tour Leader will describe the events in history leading up to the eventual movement of the capital city to its present location, Casco Antiguo. Casco Antiguo is the second city established by the Spaniards in Panama, different from Old Panama, this site was never attacked and simply evolved into what it is today. You will walk through the old streets and stop to see our important landmarks and learn from our Ecocircuitos’ Tour Leader.
After lunch, we will visit the Panama Canal Miraflores Visitor Center where you can marvel at the workings of this feat of human engineering by going through the four floors of exhibits. In the late afternoon, you will return to your hotel in Panama City.
Note: This tour cannot be done on Mondays.
