Metropolitan Park & City Tour

The Metropolitan National Park (MNP), situated only 15 minutes from downtown Panama City hosts over 200 bird species. Climb the Cedar Hill overlooking Panama City and the Canal before enjoying a piece of history strolling around the colorful Casco Antiguo with your guide. (B, L)

Pipeline Road

Visit Panama’s Pipeline Road – where the Audubon Society spotted 300 species of birds in a single day – which is therefore considered one of the best birding spots in the world. (B, snacks)

Plantation Road

The historic Plantation Road is another famous birding hotspot in the Canal Watershed, created around 1913 for the transportation of goods in the area of nowadays Soberania National Park. (B, snacks)

Achiote Road

We will go on one of the most scenic drives of Panama, crossing the continent, heading for another birding hotspot on to the Caribbean side of Panama. (B, L)

Chiriqui Highlands

 Get on a 45-minute flight and stay overnight in the charming highland-village of Boquete. (B)

Los Quetzales Trail

Today you will get on one of the most scenic trails in Central America, walking through breathtaking landscapes varying at different altitudes. You will have the opportunity to spot a variety of trees, plants and bird species, including the Resplendent Quetzal, Bear-necked Umbrellabird and Three-wattled Bellbird, amongst many others. Highland Birdwatching

Due to the volcanic origin of the area, the land around Boquete is extremely lush and green with superior birdwatching and wildlife, featuring the elusive quetzal which was considered sacred by the Mayas. Our guide will either take you to one of the trails around the slopes of the Baru Volcano or to a private reserve for a superb birdwatching adventure. (B, Lunch Box)
