San San Pond Sak is one of the most important wetlands of the Caribbean Mesoamerican coast. Its biological diversity includes migratory birds during most of the year, and important species such as the manatee and four species of sea turtles that nest on its beaches.

Early start at 7 am from Isla Colón. The boat ride to the wetlands at San San Pond Sak may take approximately 2 hours. Once at the protected area, there will be the opportunity during 2 hours of manatee observation, sloths and monkeys. The mangrove on this area are the black and red species, which are important site for marine turtle nesting (leatherback, hawksbill and green). There will be a brief presentation regarding the importance of this site and the conservation project.
