Surfing El Palmar

Your rental car, a map and the complete itinerary for your surfing adventure will be delivered to your hotel in the morning. Begin your trip by going west, crossing over the Panama Canal on the Americas Bridge to the little surf town of El Palmar on the Pacific Coast where white-sanded beaches, a relaxed vibe and  right-breaking waves are waiting for you. The waves here are perfect for both beginners and more experiences surfers. (B)

Surfing Santa Catalina

After a morning surf session you continue your road trip through the Cocle Province to the Santa Catalina beach town in the Veraguas Province. The town, once a tiny fishing village, hosts a vast surfing community and some of the best world-class surfing spots in Central America for experienced surfers as well as spots suitable for beginners. It has left and right breaks and tall and powerful waves, typically ranging from 4 to 15 feet (1 to 4,5 meters). (B)

Surfing Playa Venao

Continue your road trip to the remote surf beach of Playa Venao in the southern tip of the Azuero Peninsula. The wide sandy beach stretch catches just about any swell and is best surfed at medium to high tide. This beach is ideal for both beginners to more experienced surfers. Playa Venao forms its own crescent-shaped bay and is positioned such that it catches swells almost all the time; even when other areas in Panama are not surf-able. (B)
