The tour begins with an introduction about the geography and animal life of the Panama Canal areas by our Ecocircuitos guide, as you are driving into the Soberania National Park, about one hour outside of Panama City. Here you will enjoy an easy walk under the forest canopy. During the tour you will have the opportunity to spot many animals and a wide range of plant and tree species. Located in the Panama Canal watershed, this former US military access road takes you into old-growth secondary forest which is ideal for the observation of flora and fauna from Pacific and Caribbean slopes.
You will experience a unique tour where you will be able to explore the canopy of the Soberania National Park; you will be fascinated by the beautiful view of the forest, the lake and the national parks that protect the canal’s watershed. The upper rainforest canopy at the Rainforest Tower is 30 meters high with emergent trees reaching over 40m. Our naturalist guide will explain about the wildlife you will observe during this trip and you will learn about the sustainable use of water and the recycling materials of this great educational facility in the core of the forest.
